Fishtown residents may want to run for comedy cover during the shock-n-awe shenanigans of two titanic ha-ha heavyweights waging a local entertainment war during the 2007 Puppet Karaoke Vs. Dirty Diamond: The Rematch Show at the M-Room on Thursday March 22nd. The result of a direct challenge by Mr. Diamond, The ongoing and award-winning Puppet Karaoke Universe Show has previously been the benefit of Dirty Diamond (DD to his friends) and super-suave pal Sleazy E's unique emcee abilities and has nevertheless agreed to relive the experience in a showdown of unprecedented comedy proportions. The two lounge-friendly albeit human hosts will banter their way through a night of audience interactive derring-do, as attendees may take the stage to compete in a world of singing puppets and impromptu, unscripted, often off-color standup. Courageous attendees may bring homemade puppets to the show or hastily build such puppets onsite with a generous amount of provided craft supplies. Less courageous attendees may simply sit back, wine, dine and enjoy the proceedings in human form. 'Best Of The Fringe Fest' winner Dirty Diamond can often be heard on Channel Chaos Radio and makes constant appearances throughout the Delaware Valley and beyond. The Puppet Karaoke Universe Show is the recipient of the 2006 City Paper Choice Award and maintains a weekly podcast series featuring show highlights, puppet skits, music videos and more.
