Monsterologist With A Microphone Reverend T-Bagg will usher in a new divine era of surreal singing hand puppets during an inspirational edition of the ongoing Puppet Karaoke show at the M-Room, presented by Waiting For Cable, purveyors of fine comedy since 2001.
Reverend T-Bagg preaches the Cutting Edge Spiritual Order of Monsterology, and is a prolific writer of intriguing pamphlets on the subject, as well as a notorious performer throughout Philadelphia's underground nightlife scene. Often described as a "drunk time traveler looking for his place in continuity", the Reverend will emcee a night filled with karaoke-competing foam-rubber and pipe-cleaner puppets from the popular show's endearing cast. Characters such as Iraqui Balboa, Funion Fu and newcomer Boo-Hoo the Myspace Clown will grace the stage while the Reverend entertains and enlightens. Audience members may enter the competition with their own puppet creations, and duke it out for irreverent prizes. '...compare the Puppet Karaoke experience to accidentally finding oneself at open mic night on the set of HR Puff N' Stuff; but no matter which way you choose to look at it, Puppet Karaoke is loads of fun' - Phillyist Waiting For Cable consists of filmmakers Alex Strang and R.S. Purcell, who both work in the film business and felt a desperate need to 'open the doors' of live puppetry theatre to the entertainment-thirsty bar crowd scene.
