ERRATA
While Cybergecko takes great pride in NOT having long lists of errata, rules changes, corrections, etc., we feel compelled to provide you with this sheet of rules SUGGESTIONS to aid you in your SGMS game-playing experience. The following 3 rules "suggestions" may or not may not contradict what you already follow when playing the game. In any case, they have been adopted as "official" by Cybergecko and will be used when playing company-sponsored tournaments, etc.
  1. Planetary Distances
  2. Range In Space
  3. Great Mountain Closeup Map

Planetary Distances
We suggest that you ignore the Distance Ratings for all planets and other celestial phenomena when playing a basic game. These statistics are only required for use with certain Expansion Sets and can have no bearing on a standard, basic game session.

Range In Space
We further suggest that you allow Range Attacks to occur in Space. (The rulebook clearly states that all attacks must occur at Range 0. This is an uneccessary restriction). However, we do insist that you maintain the rule that there is no Range between Earth and Space.

Great Mountain Closeup Map
The Great Mountain Mapcard serves as an instantaneous "link" between the main map and a specially created 3 x 3 "closeup" map that represents the top of the mountain. This special map must be constructed with 9 Woods Cards and is placed outside of the play area after the main map's creation process is completed.
great mountain closeup map
Monsters, defence units, etc. may interact with this closeup map and may cross between it and the main map. Anything that enters the Great Mountain card is instantly transported to this new map. (Remember, however, that entering or exiting any Mountain area requires full movement for most Land monsters) The four sides of the Great Mountain Mapcard correspond to the 4 sides of the closeup map. When entering the closeup map, the entity may choose which of the 3 cards on the relevant side it appears on.
NOTE: these Woods Cards count as individual spaces and may affect RANGE calculations . ALSO: The entire Great Mountain retains its normal Gaia Powersource.
