Tsubareika Reio: TokuRed played by MagiKozy
Raise by strict parents, (notably his father, who was a famous stage actor) Reio learned to respect the theatre at an early age. He excelled at sword-fighting and was given many action parts, though his father always stressed the human element was most important in all drama. Reio was attracted to television and film, which his father had no respect for. Rebellious as it was, Reio played characters in many samurai TV dramas and became famous as the cocky, almost superhuman samurai Fire Moon in a low budget series of the same name. Years after the show ended, Reio was stalked by many crazed fans, all of which were upset that the character was killed off too early. It was hard to find any work after that, and Reio went back to the theater after his mother died. He tried to rebuild his career and please his father again, through 'legitimate' dramatic parts. His father has not talked to Reio in 5 years, and only was seen briefly during mother's funeral. Now, Reio is at a rehearsal for his lead part in the 'important' historical drama 'Many Rivers to Tokyo' which be a play that would set his life back on track. He does not like the snotty director, however.
Shudai Gen: TokuBlack played by Kaiza
Gen grew up as a child with a wandering imagination, always seeing monsters where there were none, and always picturing bizarre catastrophes that often lead into nightmares. He developed writing as a means to expel these imaginary demons, and starved his way through a career writing for low-budget TV, including a once popular soap opera called 'The Candle", which still has a cult following. (Many fans love/hate Gen for the torture he often put the characters through on that show, which ended 3 years ago). Currently, Gen, now 25, works freelance from his tiny, cluttered apartment and takes odd jobs on the side. (he gets fired repeatedly) His only writing assigment at the moment is a 'research' job where he must travel the city and review neighborhoods, asking people annoyingly intrusive questions about their lifestyles. etc. He does this for about 4 hours a day maximum before an argument breaks. Gen dreams of writing a great novel that will change the world. He is moody.
Yamanira Zato: TokuBlue: played by Red London
Zato was raised by a kind, old woman known as Chorei. His real parents were killed in a terrible fire when Zato was still an infant. Chorei worked hard at menial jobs to raise the child, and always seemed to have enough money to get by, even to support the boy's interest in science. Zato was fascinated by crazy inventor characters he saw on TV and movies. He caused quite a lot of havoc growing up, by creating dangerous experiments. This eventually turned into a career in theatrical special effects, and Zato became known for his robotic/animatronic work in particular. He has been working steadily for years and is now 26. Chorei left him suddenly one day when he was old enough to take care of himself. Zato always complains about the very low budgets of the films he must work on. Directors are always asking for the impossible and can never pay enough. Currently, he is designing a huge animatronic gorilla prop for a cheap movie with a very kid director named Hasko (who dresses like a punk). The movie is Wild Kong and Zato hates it.
Kurasha Jozu: TokuGreen played by Shinden
A wild and crazy, fun spirit, Jozu was always diving, ramming and falling from ill-advised heights and spent more time with the school nurse than in class studies. This resulted in a great deal of at-home tutoring. He dreamt of creating his won 'Ultimate Sport' but nothing ever caught on (Box-Diving was popular for a while with some local gangs). His tough-loving family (parents and a kid sister) kicked him out of the house and forced him to get work. A successful stuntman career evolved. Jozu has worked for many big directors and is very proud of some very big stunts, including driving stunts. He is always looking for a wife but has limited social skills in this area. Right now he is on the set of 'Maximum Police', a pretty stupid buddy-copy movie, where Jozu will have to drive a bulldozer off a cliff.
Nanekuya Ana: TokuPink: (currently an NPC)
A very adept fencing student through high school, Ana won many awards to the delight of her family. She was always an upbeat child. Her best friend Mika was the lead singer in a J-Pop band (Angel Cute) that was on the verge of a recording contract. Mika became very ill one day and Ana stepped in to tell the band about it, and wound up replacing Mika during a practice session. The band fell in love with Ana and the contract was signed. Angel Cute became a very big hit. Mika never forgave Ana and remained ill until this day. Angel eventually dissolved and Ana went on her own, recording hits, notably 'I Am Sorry For Your Heart" which attracted enough media attention to transform her into an idol star. She has been pursued by fans and reporters for a solid year now, and is already burning out.
